Diana met me for lunch yesterday at Famosos. It was a yummy, lovely affair. It's so fun to hear the details of her upcoming trip to Berlin and Vienna. It gives me something to dream about vicariously. If I were a little younger, I think one of the things I'd like to do in Berlin is go to a rave. I hear they are over-the-top and the music is just incredible. It's funny what you end up thinking about and feeling free to do when you are not in your own home town.
Anyway, back to our lunch. Diana, little rascal she is, gave me a birthday present! Now this is not any ordinary gift. It's something that fits right in to what I think about often: FOOD. I am now the proud owner of Giada De Laurentiis, "Giada's Kitchen - New Italian Favorites". I cannot wait to dig into this cookbook and get inspired to do wonderful things in my very own kitchen.
Yikes - I hear Jack up from his nap, so I will get to the point ... as I was admiring the book cover there was a moment where something just clicked ... is there not a LITTLE resemblance between the way Diana and Giata look??? I think we've found Diana's doppelganger!!
Would you agree?
p.s. Meghan, I hope your recover is going well! Thinking about you often ....
(Lisa)
