This moment is one of pure satisfaction.
This photo, however, represents a single good reason why it's important to complain (sometimes) to your mother.
Because if she's anything like mine, she will take action. To improve your situation. I have been in a slump lately about my living space. My mind was half made up that we would be buying a house and moving into it by this summer. That is not happening and suddenly my living room felt cluttered and teensy-tiny. Not good. So after a good walk and a Starbucks visit, my mom and I got down to work. She donned her Interior Design cap and amazed me by shifting, moving, and rightly grouping things together until ... VOILA! I have a living room that makes me happy. Somehow the space is reclaimed from half adult, half infant room to a sophisticated adult but kid-friendly room. Brilliant. I don't know why she didn't do this for her career.
I take this moment to thank my mom for:
1. Listening
2. Encouraging
3. Taking Action
I really needed that.

Hey Lise! Your mom is so beautiful! At first I thought this was a post from Di and that your mother was her friend, Jenna. Congratulations on your very own new living room :)
ReplyDeleteLucky for me, Eric (kind of) fixed my camera. Sadly, it has some permanent damage that makes it cumbersome to use, but I won't let it get in my way! I'll start posting again soon :)
